PRAYER REQUEST!

A dear friend, a powerful servant of the Lord, and an all around great guy is in need of prayer NOW.

Bob C. has had cancer and it has been a long battle. He finally got a donor (from Germany!) and has gotten a T cell transplant. Well, I will just let this email tell the current chapter:

Bob is still stable, although he is fighting big battles. A CAT scan of his brain showed a spot that is most probably infection in his brain. This is most likely the same infection that he is fighting in his lungs. Please pray for healing of this infection. Medicine can be less effective when dealing with the brain as it is somewhat protected. They will need to use stronger medication to fight the infection in the brain.

In addition, they will be backing off the medication that helps protect his liver so they may fight the infection. Please pray for protection of Bob's liver. There will be a backing off of transplant medicine and an upping of medicine to boost his immunity. Please pray that his immune system will begin fighting the infection as well.

His heart is beating as it should and has stabilized.

The next 48-72 hours is of critical importance in fighting this infection. Jenny and family are okay. Please continue to pray for Jenny, Josh, Carrie and Laura.

Remember, "prayer is the only thing that moves the hand of God."

Could you, would you?

Thank you.

For those of you who came because of a comment I left on your blog, I apologize for the blatant request to come here. Please feel free to clean up your comments by deleting that comment of mine. I just wanted to get as many folks praying for my friend as possible.

email Friday:

Bob Cryder update: I don't know how else to say this, but just received word that Bob Cryder is slipping away. Tim and Heather, family and close friends are with Bob, Jenny and family. Please pray for all of them. Jenny shared that they have made him comfortable. We need to remember that the Lord is in control, even when we don't understand.

Update, Noon Sunday:

The doctors say that while the cancer is gone, Bob's body can not fight the infection he has in his lungs and brain. The only thing that can save him is a miracle.

While he was in stable condition this morning, there is hope only in God.

I have a post half written, and I would finish it an d post it now... but I want to put my energy into praying for Bob right now.

I want those who visit this site to know a little bit about Bob.

He has had a ministry for some time, Bob Cryder Team Ministries. This web page is worth looking at just to get to know what he does. his connections to the evangelical church reads as a Who's Who of the modern church.

But I've known him as one heck of a great guy, someone who would drop everything to lend a hand.

He is a car buff (the cherry red '55 chevy pick up, and the 57 nomad are pristine, and he hosted a car show in our town every General Canby Day (that's the 4th of July for those out of towners).

Bob has ministries all of the world, and especially strong connections to christian organizations in Israel.

He was recently hired on as the senior pastor of the Arcade Church, which is hosting updates about his current status.

Please, please continue to pray for Bob. His gifts are enormous and his work has won thousands to the Lord.

I'll get back to posting soon enough.

p.s. It is 5:20 a.m. and I have just gotten back from the hospital. Been there praying. The medications have him unconscious, and his breathing is a little rapid. The respiration therapist says he is really trying hard, working hard, at breathing. He has a slight fever from the infections in his lungs and brain. He is just holding steady right now. It is unclear if he is getting better or worse, but it cannot stay this way long. Soon he will gradually start to get better, or the reverse.

Please continue to pray!

Update, Monday

My friend Bob went home today at 1:00 p.m.

Of course I will remember this family and pray for his healing. And please never apologize for mentioning a prayer request anywhere.

Suggest you leave the prayer request up - why should it be temporary?

Come, Lord Jesus.

Heal as only You can.

Thanks CS for the privilege of praying. I will be praying from Melbourne, Australia for Bob. In fact, let's bow and pray NOW:

Dear Lord, we commit Bob into your hands right now. You know what he's going through, you know the worries of his family and friends, and you know what he needs. Father God, thank you for the provision of a donor from Germany. I pray for your healing of the infection that Bob has in his brain, as well as protection of his liver and immune system.

Lord, we also remember Jenny Josh, Carrie and Laura. Please give them peace in their hearts as they provide support and love to Bob in this critical time. Father may your will be done in this family, and in Bob's life. We ask this in Jesus' precious name, Amen!

Here from Corry's prayer list blog.

Dear Jesus,
Be with Bob and comfort him. Let him rest in your healing hands. Lord, touch him. Please be with his family too. Let them rest in Your wisdom. Show them your miracles. Let them know peace. Send your angels around Bob and touch him with Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

CS, I just received notice of this Saturday morning here in Georgia. My grandfather was going to die this weekend from a liver that bursted. Karen and I prayed and we found out through others he stabilized and didn't want any medication. The cancer was gone. These type of stories of miracles builts faith and wakes up the lost that there is a living G-d. But, live Karen's mom, who we prayed for healing to take place after being diagnosed with acute cancer - she got the perfect healing - to go be with Jesus. So, my question is, does he know Jesus as Lord? I will say my prayer now:

Abba Father, our bodies are so imperfect and we wrestle with diseases and sickness. You understood our emptiness and brokenness spiritually and physically when you walked the Earth. You haven't left us with empty, especially those who trust in you. There are times father we just need to let go of the life, and reach for the Heavens to find our final resting place. I praise you Abba Father for your stitching and putting together of our most complicated bodies and the way it works. Also, giving people the knowledge to bring restoration to people. We don't complete understand your ways but we TRUST you know what is perfect. With this in my Jesus (Yeshua) send forth your peace and healing that this miracle once again would bring GLORY to your NAME.

In the name of Jesus forevermore. Amen.

Ask anytime.

We will be keeping him in our prayers. Please keep us updated.

Dear Father, we rest in your mercy. We ask for healing and comfort for your child and his family. Strengthen his body and his spirit and draw him close to you for sustenance. Make his doctors and caregivers wise in all they do. We pray that you will heal him to Your glory, and we leave this in your hands. In Christ's name, Amen.

Curious,

No need to apologize. I came by way of Joe's blog. I pray that the hand of God will move is such a way that not matter what the outcome, all will know He alone is Holy, He alone is worthy of all of our praise. He is the miracle worker who can make a way in the desert. Please give us an update as soon as possible.

God, I name this servant before Your throne. I only know of him through this place, but he deserves Your best, and I thank You for giving it, whether it be continues life here with us, or rest forever in Your presence.

Free his family from fear and worry, and let them all rest in the hollow of Your very strong hands, and thank You for your Curious Servant, who blew the watchman's horn.

dear Father, i lift up to you, bob, your faithful servant. i pray that You will move in his situation now. we know that You are in control and you can still perform a miracle just as what you've been doing in the past because You are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. you told me before that there is always a room for a miracle even in the last minute. i ask You, Father, do it for him. i also pray for his family. Father, i ask all these in Jesus' name, amen.

Our prayers continue for your friend and his family and for you in your prayer vigil. May God work His mysterious ways.

Heavenly father, I lift up Bob to you now - even as others have prayed, I too come before you asking for your mercy once again...

jollybeggar said...

then a miracle it shall have to be.

with humble hearts, thinking not of anything but your glory, we come before you now, joining the voices of our hearts with those of many others on behalf of our brother.

bring healing, strength, recovery and peace to this household in the name of Jesus. let the prayers of your people persuade you to intervene in the natural course of things, reversing the effects of the illness and then removing them entirely.

you heal according to your will and for your purposes- we understand that. however, we also read in your Word that we are to pray for everything that concerns us, for you are our God and we are your people- the sheep of your pasture. so at this time we intercede on behalf our our brother, Bob.

be glorified by healing this man, that all would know that you are the one true God- the almighty I Am- and that you in your power, your grace and your mercy answer the prayers of your people.

I think that is a good idea. Bob was really someone special.

I will go ahead and finish working on the current post I had in mind, but I will shelve it for a later post.

I think I will share a little bit about Bob in the next post.

I hope to have it done very shortly.

The Lord has called him home. This is not a sadness for Bob. This is Joy. He has graduated from this school called life. Celebrate his life, show him how much you loved him and respected him. Be glad for him that he is with the lord whom he loved so much.
I know the loss of a loved one is hard. I have experienced it too just as everyone has. It is only for those us left behind. If we realize the Joy our loved one is feeling it helps greatly to ease that pain. He loves you. He will be around to visit. Pay attention.
